Wildberries commission is the percentage the platform withholds from every sale. The rate depends on the item category and the fulfillment model, and logistics, storage and inbound handling are deducted on top of it. That is why a "15% commission" never means you keep 85%.
What the commission covers and what it does not

The commission is the fee for the fact of selling through the platform. It is set per item category and fulfillment model and usually runs from a few percent to roughly 25% of the sale price. Everything else is billed separately:
- Logistics — delivery to the buyer and the return leg for uncollected orders: what WB logistics is made of;
- Storage — the fee for warehouse space: storage cost;
- Inbound handling — depends on the warehouse and the delivery date: inbound handling coefficient;
- Penalties and deductions — WB penalties for the product card and hidden deductions;
- Advertising — a separate budget: types of advertising on WB.
What the rate depends on

- The item category of the card. Rates are set per item category, not per your own idea of what the category is — how the platform determines the item category is covered in the subject ID guide.
- Fulfillment model. Rates differ for FBO, FBS and DBS: FBO vs FBS comparison.
- Individual terms. Large sellers are offered IU, individual terms by the platform — a reduced rate in exchange for volume.
The platform revises commissions regularly, so there is no single "commission table for the year": the current rate for your item category is in the tariffs section of the seller account.
Where to see how much was actually withheld

The planned rate is in the account tariffs, the actual one is in the sales report: it shows how much was withheld on each sale line. How to read the report and what to do with discrepancies is covered in the guides on Wildberries payouts and reconciliation with the marketplace.
How to build the commission into your price
The commission is one line in the calculation, not the whole calculation. Count it together with logistics, storage and taxes: Wildberries unit economics, how to calculate a product price, cost of goods for a seller. Commissions on the other platform are covered in the Ozon commissions guide, and the general overview is in Wildberries and Ozon commissions.
Recent rate changes are covered in the news item on the Ozon commission increase.
FAQ
"What is the Wildberries commission for a seller?" The rate is set by product item category and fulfillment model and usually falls between a few percent and roughly 25% of the sale price. The exact value for your item category is in the tariffs section of the seller account.
"Does the commission include logistics and storage?" No. The commission is a percentage charged for the sale. Logistics, storage, inbound handling, penalties and advertising are deducted separately, so the platform's real share of your revenue is higher than the nominal commission.
"Why was more withheld in the report than the commission rate?" Because the sales report brings every deduction together at once: commission, logistics (including the return leg on uncollected orders), storage, inbound handling and penalties. You have to work through it line by line.
"Can the Wildberries commission be reduced?" The rate itself — only through individual terms at meaningful volume. The real headroom is usually not in the commission but in logistics, buyout rate and storage: the spread between sellers there is many times larger.
